CNC Turning Services in Vietnam

Tai Phat Precision turns high-mix precision components up to ~Ø300 mm on Japanese chuck lathes, held to ±0.01 mm as standard and ±0.005 mm on request. We machine in aluminium, stainless steel, brass, copper, engineering steels, titanium and PEEK — from single prototypes to repeat production. Where a straight round part up to Ø40 mm needs a fine sealing or bearing surface, our in-house precision grinding takes it to Ra 0.4.

Machine Capability

  • 10 chuck-type CNC turning centres — all Japanese-built (Okuma, Mori Seiki, Techno Wasino).
  • Four identical Okuma Genos L250 lathes run the same small-to-mid part in parallel for useful throughput on repeat orders.
  • Okuma LB300 ×2 cover the larger diameters.
  • Mori Seiki CL2000 ×2, Okuma LCS-25, Techno Wasino add flexibility and second-operation capacity for high-mix work.

Quality

Quality Control

First-article, in-process and outgoing inspection. Critical, first-article and drawing-flagged features are verified on our in-house Accretech CMM, with vision and surface-roughness measurement on site. Dimensional inspection reports available on request, agreed at order stage. More on our quality control process.

Capacity

Capacity & Lead Time

Comfortable with one-offs, prototypes and repeat production. Shop-wide output capacity is around 110,000 pcs/month across turning and milling; turning lead time depends on material availability and quantity — send the drawing for a firm date. Quotes typically in 48–72 hours.

Design

Designing turned parts that cost less

Most of the price of a turned part is set at the drawing stage. A few habits keep it down without touching function:

  • Tolerance only where it works. Hold ±0.01 mm or tighter on bearing seats, sealing diameters and fits; leave free surfaces at a general tolerance (ISO 2768-m is usually enough).
  • Give internal corners a radius. A sharp internal corner needs a special tool; a 0.2–0.5 mm radius uses a standard insert.
  • Add thread relief. An undercut at the end of a thread lets the tool exit cleanly and gives a full thread to the shoulder.
  • Use standard threads and chamfers. Metric ISO threads and 45° chamfers are cut with standard tools; unusual forms add tooling time.
  • Mark the surfaces that matter. Tell us which diameters seal, locate or carry a bearing, so inspection effort goes where it counts.

Our Tolerances & DFM Guide covers this in more detail.

Export

Working with buyers outside Vietnam

We supply manufacturers in Vietnam and export to customers in the Netherlands and Germany. We work from ISO and DIN drawings, convert Werkstoff grades to locally-sourced JIS equivalents, and will sign an NDA before you send files. Send PDF, STEP, IGES, DWG, DXF or a ZIP of several files; you'll get a clear quotation in 48–72 hours, and if a feature is outside what our lathes can hold, we'll say so in the quote rather than after the order. First-article and dimensional inspection reports are available on request, agreed at order stage. See EU manufacturers in Vietnam.

FAQ

CNC turning FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity?

One piece. Prototypes and one-offs are welcome; unit price falls as quantity rises because setup time is shared across more parts.

What is the largest diameter you can turn?

Up to about Ø300 mm, production-proven on our Okuma LB300.

What tolerance can you hold?

±0.01 mm as standard, ±0.005 mm on request where the feature allows.

Can you turn parts after heat treatment?

Yes — hardened steels and titanium after heat treatment are machined in-house.

Can you reach Ra 0.4 or finer?

Ra 0.8 by fine turning. Ra 0.4 through our in-house precision grinding on suitable features — straight round parts up to Ø40 mm, or flat faces. Tell us which surface needs it and we'll confirm at quote stage.

Do you combine turning with milling?

Yes. Turned parts that need flats, cross-holes or slots move to our 3- and 4-axis machining centres in the same shop.
