Precision Machining for Electronics & Electronic Components

Electronics parts are small, they stack up, and they show. A 0.02 mm drift on a connector locating boss becomes an assembly reject downstream; a stray burr shorts a circuit; a visible enclosure face has to look right as well as fit. Electronics and electronic components are a core part of what Tai Phat Precision machines every week — and we plan burr control, tight positional tolerance and surface finish into the process, not as an afterthought.

Part Families

What We Machine for Electronics

  • Anodised aluminium enclosures & housings — precise mating features, clean cosmetic surfaces, anodising coordinated and inspected on return.
  • Test & inspection jigs / fixtures — designed in Siemens NX and machined in-house, the workholding and check fixtures your line and QC depend on.
  • Standoffs, spacers & small precision parts — turned and milled to tight, repeatable tolerances across production quantities.
  • Shielding cans & sensor bodies — thin-walled parts where fit, flatness and EMI shielding geometry matter.
How We Handle Them

Why Electronics Parts Are Demanding

  • Tolerance stack-up — locating features must be consistent between your part and its mating part; we hold datums the same way across a batch so parts assemble first time.
  • Burr control — burrs cause shorts and assembly problems; deburring and controlled edge-breaks are specified into the job, not left to interpretation.
  • Thin walls & distortion — enclosures and shielding distort easily; we plan fixturing and cutting strategy to control distortion, not just chase the final dimension.
  • Cosmetic surfaces — visible faces get the finish and marking discipline they need.
Strengths

Strengths That Fit Electronics Work

  • In-house laser marking — part numbers, logos and data-matrix / traceability marks applied precisely, without an external hand-off.
  • In-house test-jig capability — because we design and build fixtures (Siemens NX + our own machines), we can supply the check and assembly fixtures alongside the parts.
  • Coordinated anodising & finishing — one supplier for machining + finish, inspected on return (IQC).
Materials

Materials We Machine

Aluminium (6061-T6, 7075-T6, 5052-H32) for enclosures and precision parts · brass (C3604, C2680) for connectors and contacts · stainless steel (304, 316/316L) · engineering plastics (PEEK) where an insulating or non-magnetic part is needed.

Quality

Quality Control

First-article, in-process and outgoing inspection; critical and drawing-flagged features verified on our in-house CMM, with vision measurement for small features and surface-roughness checks for cosmetic faces.
